Each year the third grade classrooms learn about different families and their own heritage. As a family, each student creates a clothespin doll that depicts their family background. Mr. Nordlund has photographed some dolls from 2006 - 2007. They are on display in the front entry of the school. We are very proud of all the work and details that the students and their families put into this project.
Spelltacular
On Tuesday, January 19 the J.W. Smith Fifth Grade participated in the Spelltacular Competition. The winner advances to the Middle School to compete against all the Fifth through Eighth Grade winners in District #31.
